Paris shapes more of Camille Rouet's work than a bio line usually captures. Since 2021, that's translated into 88 sold pieces and 66 collectors — among them buyers of "Orchard, Late", original — full rights transfer.

A day in the studio

Working in a series lets an artist ask the same question from several angles across multiple pieces, which is a genuinely different creative problem than a one-off — the constraint of returning to a subject is often what produces the most surprising variations.

Field notes taken over weeks in the actual location a painting depicts carry a specificity that working purely from a photograph rarely reproduces — light, weather and scale are notoriously hard to reconstruct from a single reference image.

Where the collectors come in

A marketplace with transparent, published commission rates removes a specific kind of friction that direct sales rarely resolve cleanly: knowing exactly what an artist nets from a sale before either side has to have that conversation directly.

Editions exist to solve a real tension: an artist wants a piece to be affordable to more than one collector, but scarcity is most of what gives an edition its value, so the size of a run is one of the most consequential decisions an artist makes before a piece ever lists.

"Orchard, Late" remains one of the clearer entry points into Camille Rouet's work on Bello — Worked wet-into-wet over four months, so the surface reads as one continuous field rather than a set of marks.
